Duty Station Overview:
Newala District is one of the districts of Mtwara Region. At the 2012 census, the population of the district was estimated to be 205,492. This district is bordered by Masasi District on the west and north, Tandahimba district on the east and north, Ruvuma and Mozambique on the South.
Newala is one of the five districts of the Mtwara Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the west by the Masasi District, to the east by the Tandahimba District, to the south by the Ruvuma River and Mozambique, and to the north by the Tandahimbaand Masasi Districts.
According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Newala District was 183,930. Most of the inhabitants are from the Makonde tribe. Newala Town Council has advertised job opportunities for Tanzania meet qualifications can apply now
